Are you meeting the Surgeon General’s recommendations for cardio? Everybody should be getting moderate intensity cardio on all or most days of the week, or at least 30 minutes per day, 5 days per week. Vigorous intensity cuts in half your recommended dose minute per minute! Meeting these cardio recommendations leads to significant improvements in overall physical and mental health, body composition, and greatly reduces the risk of various preventable illnesses, including but not limited to coronary artery disease, hypertension, type-2 diabetes, and various types of cancer. In our modern era of prolonged work hours and limited physical activity, it is crucial to prioritize this essential activity in your weekly routine.
Come experience the many benefits of the various types of training such as circuits, intervals, long slow distance, and pace tempo. Each class will be focused on one of the cardio types and each day of the week will balance out for maximum benefits.
This fun, cardio focused, group exercise class will be held Monday through Friday. Classes are 30 minutes in duration, and will be solely focused on cardio.
Feel free to arrive early for a light warm-up, but no earlier than 7pm! After class, feel free to stick around for a good 5-10 minutes self-guided stretch. Class will begin promptly at 7:15 and last 30 minutes. The class structure and instructor may change, but one thing is certain – you’re heart and lungs will thank you when it’s over! Everything is modifiable to make easier or harder, and people of all fitness levels may join. All classes will be lead by certified personal trainers.
